Bonjour, Paris!

I am so excited to share with you all my trip to Paris! Even though it was only a day, I still made so many memories with two of my best friends.

Three o'clock Saturday morning came early for Kayla, Haley and I. Our train was set to leave the St. Pancras International Station at 6:18am. Which means to get there two hours early! It was about a two and a half hour train ride from London to Paris. (we slept the entire way anyway). Once arriving to Paris, we were eager to get off the train and start exploring! But first things first, we needed to find transportation. If I'm being honest here, from a real like experience, the easiest way to get a Kapten (which is their uber) is to wave one down. Rule #1, do not download the Kapten app, it's a waste of time. Just wave a driver down, ask if he can take you to your destination and move on. After four drivers turned us down, we finally found a driver who could take us to our destination. Where you might ask? The Eiffel Tower of course! Finally being able to see one of the most prestigious piece's of architecture, was becoming real. I dreamed about seeing the Eiffel Tower as a little girl and I couldn't believe it was right in front of me. (it was almost like I was dreaming) but I could feel the sweat go down my back so I knew it wasn't a dream. Yes, the day we got to Paris, all of Europe was going through a heat wave. All day long it was ranging from 99 degrees to 101 degrees. But that wasn't stopping us from having fun!

After drooling over the Eiffel Tower, it was time for lunch. We found a nearby cafe by the river and enjoyed some hamburgers!! (yes, not your typical lunch for a girl in Paris but it was the first thing we saw). We always have a sweet tooth after a meal so we found a nearby by candy shop and got ourselves some slushes! (they were much needed in that heat) After lunch, we had tickets to go on a boat tour on the River Seine. We enjoyed the most breathtaking views of some of Paris's most famous landmarks and locations.

After the cruise, we started to walk around and stumbled across some electric scooters. We were in Paris and we were living our best lives so why not take a spin on the scooters! We geared up and started riding towards Du Louvre. We took a couple detours around the city. Once we arrived, we were taking pictures, sitting by the fountain and enjoying the views.

Oddly enough, we met some girls from Florida who were also riding scooters. (it was a major girl gang kinda thing). We all decided we wanted to head to the Arc De Triomphe! It was a long ride for a couple girls on scooters but the view was worth it. If I say so myself, the arc is prettier than the Eiffel Tower to me. But that could have just been some head trauma from falling off the scooter....

We have had enough of the scooters so we parked it and started walking to the nearest cafe. There we found every pastry you can imagine! I was able to try homemade macrons and boy were they delicious!!! It was definitely a great ending to a day in Paris.
