MONDAY

Today was the Mondayest Monday ever... (yes I just made my own word). But it was a very productive Monday as well. It started off with a trip to Priority One Bank in Ridgeland, MS to deliver four Task chairs for the clients to sit in and test out which style fit their needs the best. They chose the Lyric Chair with the mesh back and wing back. It's a great option for comfort and looks. Priority One Bank is moving their headcounters office into a brand new building. So of course, they need a brand new look! Amy and I met with the designer from Dean & Dean afterwards to talk about fabric for the seating and also the laminate options for the new desk. We also talked about the existing waiting area project for the Songchaeron Clinic. We finished a few last minute options and sent the final presentation to the client. Later on in the day, I was able to watch Amanda make a price list for the elementary school. The day ended quickly and it was time to go home!

TUESDAY

Today was a beautiful day to be outside! The temperate dropped to 72 degrees and will stay like this all week! It felt like fall but I know it won't last long! Todays to-do list was to finish unpacking the new Momentum samples that came in yesterday and hanging out with Amy and visiting a few clients. It was a fun day being out and about in the beautiful weather.

WEDNESAY

Half way through the week and it has been a busy week for sure! Today, I was able to assist in helping Amy pick out the final samples for the Songchearon Clinic. I am so excited to see everything being installed in a couple of weeks! This will be my first installation as an intern. I definitely learned to be patient with the customers. They will change their mind (a lot) but in the end, you are there to make the customer happy! Amy has been a great person to learn from, even though she isn't a designer, she knows everything there is to know about furniture!

THURSDAY

Today was a great day! Amanda asked me to do multiple part counts for her this morning. One which was 102 pages! It took me about till lunch time because I like to doubt check everything. My dad took me out to eat at this local restaurant in Downtown Jackson called Martins! If you're ever in town, I definitely recommend getting the steak bites! After lunch, I started to organize the drawers in our interiors library. One thing the designers told me when I first started was they wanted to be able to find the finishes quickly and easy. Sometimes they spend 20-30 minutes looking for one particular finish and thats because the drawers are not organized. My goal is to make this library very organized.

FRIDAY

TGIF! Today I decided to take on the Kimball finishes drawer! I wanted to make sure this drawer was easy to be read and that all discontinued fabrics were gone. I alphabetized everything and made sure that the designers could take one look inside and find exactly what they were looking for! It took a couple trips to Target to find organizers but that's okay! ;) After lunch, I hung out with our project manager, Wayne, and he showed me how to put together a task chair! The day quickly ended and the weekend was finally here!
